Disney World Reveals Reopen Plans

In the wake of COVID-19 Disney parks have closed to keep their patrons safe. Anxious to reopen, Disney World has just announced its plans for reopening the park. The first openings will be the Magic Kingdom and the Animal Kingdom on July 11, with Hollywood Studios and EPCOT opening on July 15.

Once open, the parks will follow some safety protocols. Both employees and guests are required to wear masks and will have their temperature taken before entering. There will be no parades, fireworks, or street performers. The parks will increase capacity slowly over the coming months. Disney will be furthering its cashless payment systems to cover more amenities. Hand sanitizer stations will be located throughout the park.

The first park to open was Shanghai Disneyland on May 11 after being closed since January 24. The Disney company has been suffering from the parks making up 37% of the company’s revenue at $26 billion a year.
