After long negotiations, HBO Max is now coming to Amazon and Roku devices. The deal took a while because Amazon offered the old HBO Go and HBO Now apps as channels you could subscribe to through them. Under this new deal, Go and Now users will get HBO Max at no additional charge.
HBO will be retiring HBO Go, transferring users to the new service. HBO is converting to just HBO as it the online version of the premium cable channel. HBO Max is getting a few new originals over the next couple of months including The Flight Attendant, Between the World and Me, and Industry.
